PICE launches Project Green Engineering Phils

NAGA CITY – The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) has launched a nationwide fund-raising campaign thru their Project Green Engineering Philippines (PGEP).

Engr. Florida P. Nuñez, PICE Camarines Sur chapter president said that the project Green Engineering is an innovative approach that requires various engineering civil works to conform to a feasible and economical standard or practice that would minimize pollution at the project site and protection of human health and the environment.

Proceeds of the funds raised from the project will go to the chapter, while a portion will be used to conduct awareness as concept of Green Engineering, Nuñez said.

She also said that the project includes the search for Ms. PICE-PGEP that would make this city again as venue for the 2nd canvassing and final public presentation to be  held on Aug. 28, 2010 at Villa Caceres Hotel.

The event will have special awards such as Ms. PICE, Ms. Talent and Daragang Magayon.

Nuñez told the Bikol Reporter that she expected chapter presidents and a big number of members and officers of the national board of the PICE will be coming here to see for themselves the crowd drawer tourist destination CWC cable wakeboard facilities in Capitol Complex.

The last canvassing will be on Nov. 25 to 27, 2010 to coincide with the 36th National PICE Convention to be held in Cebu International Center in Cebu City, Nuñez said.

Metro Naga Coliseum
