Sept tercentenary activities listed

The calendar for the Tercentenary activities in the month of September has been finalized and is out. There are three major activities: the cultural and trade fair and similar events and activities; the liturgical activities, and the share-and-care-outreach activities.

The first day of September will be opened by a Harubay activity, starting with diana (a dawn band march at the Basilica Minore and along the streets in the City of Naga. This will be followed by a motorcade at 8:00 in the morning in all the streets of the city to be capped by a Mass at 11:15 at the Basilica.

A Marian recollection — from 1:30 to 4:30 in the afternoon — and a penitential procession at 6:00 in the evening will be held at the Basilica. The youth will hold a torch parade along the major streets of the city at 7:00 in the evening to be followed by the Taize Youth prayer at the Basilica Minore Pavilion and a cultural show by the Naga College Foundation at the Plaza Miguel Robles de Covarrubias at 8:00 in the evening.

From the first nine days in September (September 1-9), a pilgrimage in honor of the Divino Rostro at 4:00 in the morning, Novena Masses at 5:00 a.m., 6:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m. (Bikol), 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. (English) as well as an Offering for Ina at 5:30 a.m. will be held at the Basilica Minore. Cultural shows will also be held at the Plaza Robles de Covarrubias at 8:00 p.m.

On September 2, the Caceres Chorale will present a cultural show at the Plaza Robles at 8:00 in the evening.

On September 3, a regional gathering of Covenant Communities will hold an Alay ki Ina at the Basilica Minore at 6:00 in the evening. The Caceres Singing Priests will also present a cultural show at the Plaza Robles at 8:00 in the evening.

On September 4: a fun walk, run and bike to start at the Plaza Robles at 5:00 in the morning and a cultural show by the Link Center for the Deaf at the Plaza Robles at 8:00 in the evening.

On September 5: a cultural show by the USI-Ambassadors of Culture and Arts, Theatre at the Plaza Robles at 8:00 in the evening.

On September 6: a cultural show by the University of Saint Anthony Artistic Group of Iriga City at the Plaza Robles at 8:00 in the evening.

On September 7: a cultural show by the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture at the Plaza Robles at 8:00 in the evening.

On September 8, Pancho:Piano will hold a solo exhibit of his paintings dubbed as “Illuminare” and a book launching called “Orgulyo kan Bikol” at the Avenue square at 6:30 in the evening.

On September 9: a cultural show by the University of North Eastern Philippines of Iriga city at the Plaza Robles at 8:00 in the evening. Likewise opening ceremonies for the trade fair “Kauswagan: Sarong Ina sa Sarong Rehiyon” will be held at the SM City Naga at 9:00 in the evening until midnight, featuring a countdown of the last 300 seconds to the Tercentenary. Monico Botor also holds his solo art exhibit “Kugos ni Ina, Mother Nature’s Son” at the Avenue Hotel Pool Side at 6:00 in the evening.

On September 10, the Day for Families and Migrant Workers: a penitential procession from the

Basilica Minore to Peñafrancia Shrine at 4:00 am; a Pontifical Mass presided by Archbishop Leonardo Legaspi at the Peñafrancia Shrine at 5:30am; the Traslacion Procession from the Peñafrancia Shrine to Naga Metropolitan Cathedral at 1:30pm; the Tercentenary Grand Mass of Thanksgiving at the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral at 5:30pm; the Tercentenary Concert at the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral Patio at 8:30pm; a Trade Fair Variety Show, “The Best of Kulturang Bikolnon”, by the Department of Education in Camarines Sur at the SM City Naga at 8:30pm.

September 11: the Day for the Youth: Marian youth Festival at the different pilgrim sites in the City of Naga from (6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Launching of the commemorative stamps at the Holy rosary Minor seminary at 10:00 a.m.; Marian overnight youth vigil at the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral at 6:00 p.m.; Pancho Piano’s Art Exhibit at the SM Activity Center at 7:00 p.m.;, a Pontifical Mass and Youth Vigil Mass presided by Archbishop Leonardo Z. Legaspi at the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral at 8:00 p.m.; a Smart Show at Plaza Quezon at 8:00 p.m.; a Trade Fair Variety Show featuring the Camarines Sur National High School Band, Rondalla and Performing Arts, at the SM City Naga at 6:00 p.m.; a Marian Youth Festival at the different pilgrim sites in the City of Naga from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Novena Mass at the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral at 5:00 p.m.
