The Archdiocese of Caceres has commissioned the Philippine Postal Corporation (PhilPost) to issue commemorative stamps and other philatelic products to commemorate the Tercentenary of the devotion to Our Lady of Peñafrancia.
Three centuries of devotion make up a milestone in the country’s history and its people, the Archdiocese declared in its statement to the media.
The Tercentenary Committee said, “We want you to be part of this historic event, and as the celebration draws near, we invite you to share the joy and honor. In return, you shall receive the stamps and philatelic collections which come in three forms: First Day Cover (stamps in special envelopes), Souvenir Folders and Souvenir Frames.
These packages are excellent gifts for your friends and loved ones, coming as they are in limited edition. By themselves, these stamps are repository of our historical and spiritual heritage. They are valuable items you can hand to the next generation.”
