BAAO, Camarines Sur — The Iriga City-Masoli road concreting project is nearing 100 percent completion, the 4th District Engineering Office of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) based here said.
Engr. Amelia B. Fajardo, district engineer of the DPWH here said the road concreting project is 95 percent finish. The project started April 16 this year covers 1.86 kilometers of concrete pavement, 26 linear meter of Reinforced Concrete Pipe Culvert and road shouldering.
Fajardo said that the 5 percent remaining work represents 100 meters of road concreting and shouldering which are expected to be finished on Oct. 25.
The project worth P25 million is being undertaken by EA Sancho Construction and supervised by Engr. Reynaldo Manaog.
When completed, we expect a greater road access for transport of goods and services but also improve the district’s road condition rating, Fajardo said.
In a related news, Fajardo was chosen as Bicol regional coordinator of the Association of Structural Engineers of the Philippines (ASEP) and Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE). – Manny Gallardo
