PILI, Camarines Sur — After his unprecedented venture in transforming the legislative department of the province into a bastion of public service and innovation, CamSur Vice Governor Fortunato “Ato” Peña finally unveiled the newly renovated Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) Legislative Building and launched the SP website and the Advisory Board in a grand celebration held at the SP Session Hall at the Provincial Capitol Complex here on Oct. 8.
Camarines Sur Judges Association President Freddie Balonzo and Pili Municipal Mayor Tom Bongalonta graced the occasion, together with personalities coming from the various sectors in the community.
Bro. Joey Piano, Advisory Board chairman tackled the various programs of the Office of the Vice Governor on barangay affairs, community affairs, culture and arts, education, political affairs, senior citizens, youth, and the moral recovery program to be implemented by the Advisory Board.
SP Web Development officer Cecilio Andujar Jr., gave an overview of the newly launched SP website that aims to establish an environment that promotes transparency, accountability, and participatory governance by providing on-line access to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan’s frontline services.
The event held immediately after the regular session last Friday highlighted the Pena’s programs for the first 100 days in office under his advocacy of promoting Christian Innovative Leadership to bolster Gov. LRay Villafuerte’s efforts in improving the lives of his constituents in CamSur.
