PILI, Camarines Sur — Taking initiative to strengthen the peace and order situation in CamSur, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Camarines Sur led by Vice Gov. Fortunato “Ato” Peña met with top officials of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) to improve on existing police measures and policies of the agencies during its regular session here on Oct. 18.
PNP OIC Provincial Director P/Sr. Supt. Jonathan Ablang, along with the chiefs of police of various municipalities and city in the province discussed on the statistical facts on the present peace and order situation in CamSur and tackled ways to make more efficient measures to prevent crimes, speed up investigations and boost the efficiency of police work, while PDEA Provincial Officer Rodel Abina gave an overview of the drug situation in the province, as well as other concerns of the agency.
The CamSur SP has taken this step amidst the continuing transformation of the province into a world-class tourist destination in order to maintain public order and ensure peace in the province. It is has been actively instituting major programs to ensure efficient delivery of government services to the constituents in CamSur and to bolster Gov.
