CamSur recruits English teachers

The provincial government of Camarines Sur is currently engaged in the mass recruitment of English teachers in the province to complement the needed number to handle one-one English tutorials of foreign nationals such as Koreans, Chinese and Japanese via the internet under its Internet Language Services (ILS) program.

In partnership with Internet Language Services Korean, Inc., the program started in 2009 with only a handful of Korean students and continued to accommodate similar number of students. But recent developments and demands have forced the program to scale up and is now gearing to accommodate at least 500 additional students. Thus, there is the need to hire the necessary number of English instructors.

The provincial government, under the leadership of Gov. LRay Villafuerte, is providing a full backing of the program as it is viewed and anticipated to provide opportunity for employment or otherwise additional income for local professionals, among which the graduates under the English Proficiency Program (EPP), another initiative under the leadership of Gov. Villafuerte, as well as additional revenue for the provincial government in the form of rentals for the use of the communication and teaching facilities.

Qualified applicants are those between 20 and 30 years old, male or female, college graduates of any course, preferably English majors.

They must also possess at least one year teaching experience in teaching the English language and a resident of Naga City or the neighboring towns or city.

Applicants may send their resumés via email to or visit CS-ITC Bldg at Capitol Complex, Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur during weekdays from 1 to 5 pm. They must bring 3 copies of their resumés and copies of 2×2 pictures. Look for Sen or Ivy.  – FERNANDEZ
