ARTE bares schedule of theater arts workshop

The Association of Rhetoric and Theater Arts Educators of the Philippines (ARTE), Inc., bared the holding of a National Seminar-Workshop on Strategies in Teaching Theater Arts to be held on Nov. 24 to 26, 2010 in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, the Commission on Higher Eduation (CHED), and the Department of Education (DepEd).

The venue of the activity will be the Leandro Locsin Theater, NCCA, General Luna ST., Intramuros, Manila.

The resource speakers and their topics are:  Prof. Lutgardo Labad of the NCCA Committee on Dramatic Arts for Education for Sustainable Development; Dr. Glecy Atienza, NCCA, head, Committee on Dramatic Arts for Philippine Theater; Prof. Alex Cortex of the University of the Philippines for Stage Management; and Prof. Melvin Lee, PETA, for Acting.

The Workshop facilitators include ARTE officers, namely: Dr. Ramona B. Rañeses, president; Dr. Rustica C. Carpio, executive vice president; Dr. Amalia C. Rosales, vice president for Internal Affairs; Dr. Lilian DL. Pena, vice president for External Affairs; Dr. Guillermo P. Gastelo, secretary; Prof. Segundo C. Dizon, treasurer; Dr. Milagros F. The seminar-workshop fee is P 3,500 to cover cost of lunch and snacks for three days, handouts or compact discs, certificates, administrative cost, ARTE membership dues and miscellaneous expenses.
