CSC awards CamSur with seal of excellence

The joy and excitement of the officials and employees  of the CamSur provincial government  over the long vacation ahead of them in connection with the celebration of the Yuletide season is now bundled with pride and enthusiasm as the Civil Service Commission (CSC) said that the provincial government is the sole local government unit recipient of Citizens’ Satisfaction Center Seal of Excellence Award for Region V.

According to the official communication from CSC, the citation is based on the result of the Report Card Survey (RCS) conducted on the implementation of RA 9485 otherwise known as the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007 by the provincial government of Camarines Sur.

It was not long ago when personnel of CSC conducted a surprise survey at the Provincial Capitol which yielded a very impressive showing of CamSur’s implementation of said law worthy of emulation by other LGU’s which consisted of the presence of adequate personnel to man the public assistance desk, absence of loitering employees during office hours and the orderly, fast and efficient conduct of business as well as the dedicated performance of tasks by the employees in the office surprisedly visited by personnel of CSC.

The provincial government of Camarines Sur under the leadership of Governor LRay Villafuerte is slated to receive the CSC award on Jan. 10, 2011 in a formal ceremony with Commissioner Cesar D. Buenaflor as guest of honor.

It will be recalled that through the initiative of Gov. Villafuerte, CamSur was the foremost among provinces in the region to complete its Citizen’s Charter as well as the list of Frontline Services as mandated under the said law and was cited by CSC for its timely response and compliance to the requirements of the law. –FERNANDEZ
